Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. Series of mother and calf in the springs. Mother guides her calf over a large, blue, freshwater springhead. She has a large tail slash injury from the skeg of a boat motor. Mangrove snapper, Lutjanus griseus, are present. Horizontal orientation with blue water and dappled sun rays. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
