Manatee Flipper Rubs At Surface
Florida manatee, Trichechus manatus latirostris, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, endangered. A curious adult manatee rubs its flippers together while surfacing in the warm blue freshwater of a spring. It is lit by strong warming sun rays. Some manatee rest in the background. Vertical orientation with blue water, rainbow sun rays and reflection. Three Sisters Springs, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Kings Bay, Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida USA.
